MEET THE CREATORS

Both based in Southern California, meet the creators of Our Planet, Our Future, Kayla and Kainani (aka K^2)

Kayla Wong

Kayla Wong is an Oakland-raised, LA-based filmmaker and multi-hyphenate creative with a passion for telling stories that give a voice to the unheard. Wong presents audiences with the messy parts of life from a personal perspective. Wong studies Film & TV Production at the University of Southern California’s School for Cinematic Arts.

Kainani Tacazon

Kainani Tacazon is a college student from O’ahu, HI and based in San Diego. Tacazon studies Environmental Science and Policy at Chapman University with a minor in Nutrition. Outside of STEM, she practices her love for art from fine arts to photography and media design. Tacazon utilizes art as a segue to communicate research and advocate for environmental justice.
